Francisco Nogueira is photographer from Lisbon, trained as an architect.
His work focuses on architecture, interiors and the man-made landscape. Francisco lived in Barcelona and worked with Ventura Valcarce Architects before setting up his studio in Lisbon. He published “As Roças de São Tomé e Príncipe” and “Bijagós: Património Arquitectónico”, both with the architects Duarte Pape and Rodrigo Rebelo de Andrade and published by Tinta-da-China. He has been working with clients and magazines all over the world such as Wallpaper*, DOMUS, Surface and The New York Times.
Branca and Francisco met in 2009 and soon started to share their visions as freelancers, learning a lot from each other. Later in 2014 they gave a talk entitled "Co(uple) Work" at Arquivo 237 about the challenges and advantages of being an entrepreneur couple.
After sharing studios with other freelancers for more than ten years, they envisioned their own studio, that they could share with other fellow creative and promote new interactions between creative minds, so Jiboia Studio was born.
It is a two floor open space located in the neighbourhood of Ajuda in Lisbon, that has a co-work floor with exhibition walls and a meeting room.
Branca and Francisco’s studios are located in the basement, as well as some common spaces.
